'Due to the continued success of Defence Security Systems we are looking for an additional sales person to promote and sell Commercial, Intruder Alarms, CCTV, Access Control and Fire Systems, across the Midlands region, you should be dynamic with a 'will' to succeed, industry experience is not essential, however, a good outlook, a keen eye for opportunity and excellent communication skills are required! We like working with 'can do' positive people - who time manage and work to a plan.

New Working Standards PD6662

The time has finally arrived for the UK to adopt the European Standards (EN) for intruder alarm systems. As of 1st October 2005 installers should install all systems in accordance with European Standards instead of British Standards (BS).

The European Standards are commonly referred to as “EN 50131” because several of the common parts of the standards begin with the number EN 50131. Installers however, should be cautious because the rules they must follow are not written in “EN 50131”. Instead the document they should refer to is PD 6662: 2004.
